Who is TwoZeroWest?

Hello, and Welcome!

My name is Bruce Croft and for 40 years I’ve dabbled in the art of recording light. My interest in photography began with black and white photography and darkroom workwhen I was eight years old, and to this day that experience lies at the core of everything I do with a camera. Beginning with Kodak Instamatics I learned the art of photography and the science of the darkroom. By the time I was 11, I was shooting with a 35mm SLR.

For as long as I can remember I have been interested in flight. When I was twelve I began to take a real interest in how airplanes are actually flown. A few books and a LOT of mowed lawns later I began flying gliders at age 14, soloed in gliders at age 15, and again in powered airplanes at 16. I became a licensed pilot at 17, a certified flight instructor at 23, an airline pilot at 25, and the captain of a corporate jet at 31.

As a professional pilot I am also a professional traveler. The sights I see, the things I do, and the people I meet might be a part of most anyone’s vacation, but for me they are part of what I do in between vacations.

I invite you to have a look around. I think you’ll find some interesting things to see, seen in some interesting ways!

Enjoy!
